Nexus raises €3.7 million to scale AI agents for enterprises
Brussels-based startup Nexus has secured a €3.7 million funding round to accelerate the deployment of its autonomous AI agents platform, designed to sit at the heart of corporate operations. The company aims to move beyond simple chatbots and bring decision-capable software agents directly into everyday business workflows.
Bringing AI agents into core business operations
Nexus develops a system of orchestrated AI agents that can understand tasks, interact with multiple enterprise tools and execute multi-step processes with minimal human input. Rather than acting as an isolated assistant, the platform is built to integrate with existing systems such as CRM, ERP, ticketing tools and internal databases.
By connecting to these data sources and applications, Nexus aims to automate complex workflows in areas like customer support, finance operations, procurement and internal IT. The agents can gather information, draft and send communications, trigger approvals and update records, reducing manual work for operations and back-office teams.
Funding to deepen product and integrations
The €3.7 million injection will be used to expand engineering, strengthen security and compliance capabilities, and build more native integrations with widely used enterprise platforms. The company is prioritising robust access controls, audit trails and data governance to make its AI agents suitable for regulated industries.
Nexus also plans to invest in tools that allow business users to configure and monitor agents without needing deep technical skills. This includes visual workflow builders, policy controls and dashboards that show how agents are performing across departments.
Rising demand for operational AI automation
The funding round reflects growing demand from enterprises that want to move from experimental generative AI pilots to tangible operational automation. As companies grapple with efficiency pressures and talent constraints, autonomous AI agents that can reliably handle repeatable, rules-based work are becoming a strategic priority.
With its fresh capital, Nexus is positioning itself as a European contender in the race to embed trustworthy, production-grade AI agents into the daily fabric of business operations.
