MOVEMENTS raises €300k pre-seed to scale civic engagement

Values-driven civic tech startup MOVEMENTS has secured a €300,000 pre-seed round to accelerate its platform for citizen mobilisation and digital advocacy. Building on a track record of running major citizen campaigns across Europe, the company has also opened an extension round to bring in additional strategic backers.

A values-led approach to digital mobilisation

MOVEMENTS positions itself at the intersection of civic technology, digital campaigning and social impact. Its platform enables NGOs, grassroots organisations and mission-driven brands to design and deploy large-scale campaigns that turn online engagement into measurable offline action.

The startup’s values-led model focuses on transparency, data protection and meaningful participation rather than click-driven vanity metrics. By combining data-informed targeting with human-centred storytelling, MOVEMENTS aims to help campaigners build sustained communities around issues such as climate justice, democratic participation and human rights.

Funding to deepen product and expand reach

The €300k pre-seed capital will be used to strengthen the product, invest in campaign analytics and expand partnerships across European civil society. The new funding is expected to support improvements in user dashboards, automation tools and integrations with widely used CRM and email marketing systems.

With the extension round now open, MOVEMENTS is targeting mission-aligned impact investors, foundations and angel backers experienced in SaaS and civic innovation. The goal is to build a sustainable revenue model while keeping the platform accessible to smaller advocacy groups and grassroots movements.

Riding the wave of citizen-led change

Across Europe, citizens are increasingly turning to digital channels to organise, petition and hold institutions to account. This shift is fuelling demand for robust, privacy-conscious tools that can manage supporters at scale without resorting to intrusive tracking or opaque algorithms.

By focusing on values-led infrastructure for campaigns, MOVEMENTS aims to become a key partner for organisations seeking to convert public concern into structured, long-term civic engagement. The fresh funding and extension round signal growing investor confidence in platforms that treat democracy tech as a critical part of Europe’s digital future.
