UK InsurTech mea Platform lands €42.2 million growth round

UK-based AI InsurTech startup mea Platform has raised €42.2 million in fresh funding, accelerating its expansion after years of bootstrapped, profitable growth. The company builds data, automation and decision-support tools that help insurers modernise their operations and launch digital products faster.

Bootstrapped, profitable and now backed for scale

Unlike many venture-fuelled startups, mea Platform has operated as a bootstrapped and profitable business, proving demand for its technology before seeking outside capital. The new €42.2 million round will be used to deepen product development, expand its engineering and commercial teams, and support entry into additional European and global markets.

The company’s platform combines AI algorithms, policy data and workflow automation to cut costs and reduce manual work across underwriting, pricing and claims. By integrating with existing core systems, mea Platform aims to give insurers a faster route to digital transformation without a full system replacement.

Transforming insurance with AI-driven infrastructure

Data, automation and decision support

At the heart of the offering is a modular suite that ingests structured and unstructured data, applies machine learning models and surfaces real-time insights for insurance teams. This enables more accurate risk selection, streamlined onboarding and faster claims handling, while maintaining compliance with strict regulatory standards.

Insurers can use mea Platform to design and launch new products, price policies dynamically and orchestrate complex workflows across distribution partners. The technology is particularly relevant as carriers respond to rising operational costs, evolving customer expectations and increased competition from digital-first players.

Positioning within Europe’s InsurTech landscape

The funding underlines continuing investor confidence in European InsurTech, even as broader startup funding remains selective. By pairing a proven revenue model with scalable cloud-native infrastructure, mea Platform is positioning itself as a core technology partner for incumbents seeking to modernise without disrupting existing business lines.

The company plans to use the new capital to strengthen partnerships with major insurers, enhance its AI risk engines and expand its footprint beyond the UK, targeting both continental Europe and other mature insurance markets.
