Zalos closes €3.1 million Seed round for AI finance agents

London-based startup Zalos has raised a €3.1 million Seed round to accelerate the rollout of its AI agents for enterprise finance teams. The company is building autonomous software agents designed to handle time‑consuming, repetitive finance workflows that typically burden CFO organisations and shared service centres.

Bringing AI agents into core finance operations

Zalos focuses on embedding intelligent agents directly into existing enterprise finance workflows, rather than replacing full systems. These agents can be tasked with activities such as invoice processing, reconciliations, approvals routing, spend analysis and compliance checks, working across ERP, procurement and expense platforms.

By continuously learning from historical data and user feedback, the company’s AI algorithms aim to reduce manual data entry, minimise errors and provide real‑time visibility on financial operations. For large organisations, this can translate into faster month‑end close, stronger internal controls and improved working‑capital management.

Targeting CFOs and finance leaders

The primary customers for Zalos are mid‑market and enterprise companies where finance teams are under pressure to do more with lean headcount. The startup positions its product as a way for finance leaders to redeploy staff from routine back‑office tasks to higher‑value work such as scenario planning, strategic analysis and business partnering.

Security and compliance are central to the value proposition. The platform is built with enterprise‑grade data governance, audit trails and role‑based access controls, aiming to satisfy stringent requirements in sectors such as financial services, retail and manufacturing.

Rising competition in AI-powered back-office automation

The Seed funding will be used to expand engineering and go‑to‑market teams, deepen integrations with major ERP and accounting systems, and enhance the orchestration layer that coordinates multiple AI agents across complex workflows. As enterprises accelerate adoption of automation and generative AI, Zalos is positioning itself as a specialist in finance operations, competing with both horizontal AI platforms and traditional robotic process automation vendors.

With fresh capital and growing interest from CFO offices, the London startup is betting that autonomous agents will become a standard component of the modern finance stack.
