Wootzwork lands $6.6M to modernize offshore manufacturing
Houston-based startup Wootzwork has raised a $6.6 million Series A round led by venture firm Z47, aiming to overhaul how global manufacturers manage complex offshore manufacturing across India and Southeast Asia. The company positions itself as a single, accountable partner for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) operating in demanding sectors such as energy and defense.
Single-point accountability for global OEMs
Wootzwork tackles a longstanding pain point in offshore production: fragmented responsibility across multiple suppliers, contract manufacturers and logistics providers. By acting as a single point of contact and control, the company says it delivers 98% on-time performance on complex builds for large OEMs.
The platform integrates supplier selection, quality assurance, program management and logistics into one coordinated workflow. This model is designed to give procurement and engineering teams in energy and defense a clearer line of sight into schedules, costs and compliance, while reducing the operational risk typically associated with overseas manufacturing.
Scaling from India and Southeast Asia to global reach
Currently, Wootzwork operates a dense supplier and manufacturing network across India and Southeast Asia, regions that have become critical alternatives to China in diversified supply chain strategies. With the new funding, the company plans to deepen its presence in these markets while expanding its client base among global OEMs in North America and Europe.
The fresh capital from Z47 and participating investors will be used to enhance digital supply chain tooling, expand on-the-ground operations teams, and strengthen quality and compliance frameworks tailored to heavily regulated industries. As geopolitical tensions and cost pressures continue to reshape global production, Wootzwork aims to become a trusted infrastructure layer that makes offshore manufacturing more predictable, transparent and resilient for critical industrial players.
