UBEES secures €8 million to boost regenerative beekeeping

French agritech startup UBEES, which specializes in applying professional beekeeping to regenerative agriculture, has raised €8 million in a Series A funding round. The fresh capital will be used to scale operations, invest in technology, and accelerate the deployment of pollination services that support both crop yields and biodiversity.

Beekeeping at the core of climate-smart agriculture

UBEES operates at the intersection of pollination services, precision agriculture, and climate resilience. By providing managed bee colonies to farms, the company aims to improve crop productivity while restoring ecosystems degraded by intensive farming practices. Its model aligns with the growing global push for nature-based solutions and more sustainable food systems.

The startup works with growers to integrate hives into their fields in a way that supports soil health, biodiversity, and long-term farm resilience. Data collected from hives and fields is used to monitor environmental conditions and optimize pollination strategies.

Scaling a data-driven beekeeping platform

The newly raised €8 million will enable UBEES to expand its network of professional beekeepers, strengthen its technology stack, and grow its footprint in key agricultural regions. The company is expected to invest in digital monitoring tools, such as hive sensors and analytics platforms, to track bee health, flowering cycles, and pollination performance in real time.

By combining traditional beekeeping expertise with agritech and data analytics, UBEES aims to provide farmers with measurable gains in yield while reducing dependence on chemical inputs. The startup’s approach positions managed pollination as a strategic lever for both regenerative farming and climate adaptation in agriculture.

Growing investor interest in regenerative agriculture

The funding round underscores rising investor confidence in regenerative agriculture solutions that can deliver environmental benefits alongside economic returns. As regulators, retailers, and consumers increasingly demand proof of sustainability, platforms like UBEES that can quantify ecosystem services and crop performance are drawing heightened attention.

With this Series A round, UBEES is positioned to play a larger role in reshaping how pollination is managed across modern agriculture, turning beekeeping into a scalable tool for both productivity and planetary health.
