Seville’s TechPark Becomes a Global Innovation Magnet

Seville’s reputation as a city that never truly sleeps was reinforced on March 19–20, when its bustling TechPark transformed into a powerhouse hub for innovation. Over two days, more than 15,000 founders, investors, engineers and government ministers gathered to explore the future of technology, funding and regulation.

The event underscored how Southern Europe is rapidly emerging as a serious player in the global tech ecosystem. From early-stage startups to growth-stage scaleups, the focus was on building resilient business models, accessing international capital and turning cutting-edge research into market-ready products.

Deep Tech, AI and Climate at the Forefront

Across the TechPark’s stages, the dominant themes were artificial intelligence, deep tech and climate technology. Panels examined how AI algorithms can be deployed responsibly, how deep tech ventures can bridge the gap between lab and market, and how new solutions can accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.

Investors Target Scalable European Startups

Leading venture capital firms and corporate funds highlighted a growing appetite for scalable European startups. Discussions centred on valuation discipline, realistic growth trajectories and pathways to profitability. Investors stressed that founders who can demonstrate clear product-market fit, robust data strategies and transparent governance will be best positioned to secure funding in the current environment.

Public Policy and Innovation Go Hand in Hand

Participation from national and regional ministers signalled a strong political commitment to the tech sector. Policymakers outlined initiatives to support R&D incentives, improve access to digital infrastructure and simplify regulations for high-growth companies. The dialogue between the public and private sectors highlighted a shared ambition: to make Seville and its TechPark a reference point for innovation across Europe.

As the lights dimmed on the final day, one message was clear: Seville’s TechPark is no longer just a regional asset, but a stage where global tech conversations now take place.
