NoTraffic Secures $90M to Build AI OS for City Mobility

NoTraffic lands $90M to reinvent urban traffic control

Israeli mobility startup NoTraffic has raised a substantial $90 million Series C round to accelerate its vision of replacing traditional fixed-cycle traffic lights with a unified AI Mobility OS. The company already works with roughly 1 in 10 US transportation agencies and is positioning its platform as critical infrastructure for the era of autonomous vehicles.

From fixed timers to intelligent, adaptive intersections

Conventional traffic signals typically operate on rigid schedules, ignoring real-time conditions such as congestion, emergency vehicles, or unexpected events. NoTraffic aims to change this by deploying edge computing, computer vision, and AI algorithms at intersections to detect and classify all road users, including cars, buses, cyclists, and pedestrians.

These intersections are then orchestrated by the company’s centralized Mobility OS, which dynamically adjusts signal timing and traffic flows across an entire corridor or city. The goal is to reduce traffic congestion, cut vehicle emissions, and improve road safety without requiring cities to rip out and replace their existing infrastructure.

Building AV-ready infrastructure for US cities

With deployments already serving a significant share of US agencies, NoTraffic is focusing its new funding on scaling across North America and other key markets. The platform is designed to support V2X communication, enabling direct interaction between infrastructure and autonomous vehicles (AVs), as well as connected cars and fleets.

By turning intersections into intelligent, software-defined assets, the company argues that cities can move faster toward AV-ready infrastructure while gaining immediate operational benefits. Real-time data from intersections can feed into urban planning, public transit optimization, and emergency response strategies, giving municipalities a richer, more accurate picture of how their roads are used.

As governments search for scalable ways to modernize aging traffic systems, NoTraffic is positioning its AI-driven Mobility OS as a foundational layer for the next generation of urban mobility and smart-city services.
