Nordic Knots secures €86 million growth funding

Stockholm-based Nordic Knots, a design-led e-commerce brand focused on premium rugs and home textiles, has raised approximately €86 million ($100 million) to accelerate its international expansion and strengthen its direct-to-consumer model.

The funding underscores rising global demand for Scandinavian design and signals continued investor confidence in digital-first home décor brands. Founded to bring minimalist Nordic aesthetics to modern interiors, Nordic Knots has built a loyal customer base through its online platform and carefully curated product lines.

Scaling e-commerce and international presence

The fresh capital is expected to be channelled into expanding the company’s global footprint, particularly in North America and key European markets. Investments will focus on enhancing the brand’s online shopping experience, optimising logistics and strengthening its supply chain for faster, more reliable delivery.

Industry observers note that the funding round positions Nordic Knots to compete more aggressively with established homeware and lifestyle players, as consumers increasingly turn to digital channels for high-quality interior design products.

Design, sustainability and premium positioning

Nordic Knots is known for its clean lines, muted colour palettes and emphasis on craftsmanship, reflecting the broader appeal of Scandinavian design in the global home interiors market. The company is expected to allocate part of the new investment to product development, including innovative rug collections and complementary home textiles.

With consumer expectations rising around ethical production, the brand is also anticipated to deepen its focus on responsible sourcing and environmentally conscious materials. Analysts suggest that a stronger commitment to sustainability could further differentiate Nordic Knots in the competitive premium rug segment.

Nordic e-commerce momentum

The deal highlights the strength of the Nordic e-commerce ecosystem, where design-driven brands are leveraging digital channels to reach international audiences. As online retail continues to expand, investors are paying close attention to niche players that combine strong branding, distinctive aesthetics and scalable direct-to-consumer operations.

For Nordic Knots, the new funding marks a significant step in its ambition to become a leading global name in contemporary rugs and home textiles, while reinforcing the influence of Scandinavian design on interiors worldwide.
