AI-powered marketing dashboard on a laptop used by a small business owner

Mega raises $11.5M to bring AI marketing to small businesses

Mega secures $11.5M to disrupt agency model for SMBs

AI-powered marketing startup Mega has raised $11.5 million in fresh funding as it aims to replace traditional marketing agencies for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs). The company is building an end-to-end platform that automates strategy, campaign creation, media buying and performance optimisation using advanced AI algorithms.

While larger brands have long had access to sophisticated tools and in-house expertise, many SMBs still rely on costly agencies or fragmented software. Mega wants to close that gap by offering a single, intelligent interface that can plan and execute campaigns across major digital channels with minimal human intervention.

AI as a full-service marketing partner

The platform positions itself as a virtual agency, combining generative AI for creative work with predictive data analytics for media decisions. Users can input their business goals and budgets, after which Mega’s system proposes channel mix, generates ad copy and visuals, sets bids, and continuously adjusts campaigns based on performance signals.

By automating these traditionally manual workflows, the startup argues that SMBs can access the kind of always-on optimisation that only large brands could previously afford. The company also emphasises transparency, offering dashboards that explain why the AI makes specific decisions around targeting, spend and creative selection.

Targeting the fragmented SMB marketing market

The new capital will be used to accelerate product development, deepen integrations with major ad platforms and expand sales to SMBs in key global markets. The company is especially focused on businesses that have outgrown basic self-serve ad tools but cannot justify the fees of full-service agencies.

Investors are betting that the combination of rising digital ad complexity and ongoing pressure on SMB margins will drive adoption of AI-first solutions. As AI-driven marketing automation matures, platforms like Mega are positioning themselves as long-term partners for entrepreneurs who need performance, speed and cost efficiency without building large in-house teams.
