Isembard raises €43 million to power next-gen factories
Industrial software startup Isembard has secured a €43 million funding round to accelerate the rollout of its software-powered factories, targeting major players in the aerospace and energy sectors. The fresh capital will be used to expand its engineering teams, deepen product capabilities and scale commercial operations across Europe and beyond.
Positioning itself at the intersection of advanced manufacturing and industrial software, Isembard develops a digital layer that connects machines, production lines and enterprise systems. The goal is to help manufacturers move from static, hardware-centric plants to agile, data-driven factories that can be reconfigured quickly for new programs and contracts.
Transforming complex manufacturing for aerospace and energy
Modern aerospace manufacturing and energy infrastructure production involve highly complex, regulated processes. Any deviation in quality, timing or documentation can trigger delays, cost overruns and compliance risks. Isembard addresses these challenges with a platform that orchestrates workflows, optimises machine usage and provides real-time visibility across the shop floor.
By integrating industrial IoT devices, production planning software and quality assurance systems, the company enables manufacturers to simulate and adjust production in software before making costly physical changes. This approach supports faster ramp-up of new product lines, better utilisation of capital-intensive equipment and higher overall operational efficiency.
Scaling software-powered factories across Europe
The new funding will allow Isembard to broaden its footprint among tier-one suppliers and original equipment manufacturers in aviation, space and low-carbon energy. The startup plans to invest heavily in data analytics, automation and secure cloud-based architectures to meet the stringent requirements of defence and critical infrastructure customers.
With governments and industry leaders pushing for more resilient, localised and sustainable supply chains, demand for flexible, software-defined factories is rising. Isembard aims to be a key enabler of this transition, offering manufacturers a path to digital transformation without ripping out existing hardware, while supporting Europe’s ambition to remain competitive in strategic industrial sectors.
