Grow Therapy clinicians using AI-powered tools during a virtual mental health session

Grow Therapy Raises $150M to Embed AI and EAP Into Care

Grow Therapy Secures $150 Million to Modernize Mental Health Care

US mental health platform Grow Therapy has raised $150 million in fresh funding to deepen its use of AI tools and streamline how employees access care through Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). The round positions the company to scale its nationwide network of therapists while tackling some of the most persistent pain points in behavioral health: administrative overload and fragmented employer benefits.

AI-Powered Notes and Workflow Automation

A core focus of the investment is wiring advanced AI documentation directly into the therapy workflow. The company is building features that automatically draft clinical notes, summarize sessions and pre-fill key fields for insurance and compliance, while leaving final control with clinicians.

By reducing time spent on paperwork, Grow Therapy aims to combat clinician burnout and allow providers to focus more on patient care. The platform’s AI algorithms are being trained to respect clinical nuance and privacy requirements, with human review as a mandatory safeguard.

Seamless EAP Handoffs for Employers

The new capital will also support tighter integration with EAP offerings, a critical bridge between employers and mental health services. Today, many employees encounter friction when moving from a limited EAP benefit to ongoing therapy covered by health insurance.

Grow Therapy is building a system for seamless handoffs: once an employee initiates care through an EAP, the platform can smoothly transition them into longer-term treatment with in-network providers, preserving clinical context and minimizing repeated intake steps. This is designed to improve engagement and reduce drop-off after the first few sessions.

Scaling Access and Network Quality

With the funding, the company plans to expand its network of licensed therapists, psychiatrists and other behavioral health specialists across more US states, while investing in data-driven tools to match patients with providers who fit their needs and preferences.

By combining AI-driven workflows with integrated employer benefits, Grow Therapy is positioning itself as a full-stack infrastructure layer for modern mental health care, targeting improved outcomes for patients, better economics for payers and a more sustainable workload for clinicians.
