Frore Systems Achieves Unicorn Status with $143M Series D

San Jose-based thermal technology company Frore Systems has secured a $143 million Series D funding round, propelling its valuation to $1.64 billion and cementing its status as a unicorn. The round was led by MVP Ventures, with participation from major institutional backers including Fidelity and Qualcomm, underscoring surging investor confidence in advanced cooling solutions for AI chips and data centers.

Funding Targets AI Heat Crisis in Data Centers

The rapid deployment of generative AI, large language models and GPU-accelerated computing has triggered a global data center heat crisis. High-performance NVIDIA GPUs and other advanced accelerators draw unprecedented power levels, straining conventional air cooling and legacy liquid cooling systems.

Frore Systems aims to address this problem with its flagship platform, LiquidJet Nexus, a next-generation liquid cooling architecture designed specifically for overheating AI chips and dense GPU clusters. The company claims its technology can significantly improve thermal efficiency, enabling higher compute density while reducing energy consumption and operational costs for hyperscale operators and enterprise data centers.

LiquidJet Nexus: A New Approach to Cooling AI Workloads

Engineered for NVIDIA GPUs and High-Density Racks

The LiquidJet Nexus system is engineered to handle the extreme heat output of modern AI accelerators, including leading NVIDIA GPU platforms that power many of today’s AI training and inference workloads. By tightly coupling advanced thermal management with liquid-based heat transfer, Frore Systems aims to support higher rack power densities without sacrificing reliability or performance.

Strategic Backing from Industry Leaders

Support from investors such as Fidelity and Qualcomm signals strong belief that efficient cooling technology will be a critical enabler of the next wave of AI infrastructure. As data centers grapple with rising power usage effectiveness (PUE) concerns and stricter energy regulations, scalable cooling innovations like LiquidJet Nexus are becoming central to both cost control and sustainability strategies.

With fresh capital and a unicorn valuation, Frore Systems is positioned to accelerate deployment of its cooling solutions across global cloud providers, AI labs and enterprise data centers, aiming to become a foundational player in the thermal backbone of the AI era.
