EU-Startups Summit returns to Malta in 2026

On May 7-8, 2026, the annual EU-Startups Summit will return to sunny Malta, drawing an expected crowd of around 2,500 startup founders, venture capital investors and ecosystem leaders from across Europe and beyond. The event aims to showcase the next generation of high-growth companies while deepening cross-border collaboration in the European tech scene.

Showcasing Europe’s next wave of innovation

The summit is set to feature a curated lineup of early-stage and scaling startups pitching in front of leading venture capital firms, angel investors and corporate innovation teams. With a strong focus on technology-driven business models, the program is expected to highlight trends in AI, fintech, climate tech, SaaS and deep tech.

Alongside the pitch competitions, attendees can anticipate keynotes and fireside chats with prominent founders, experienced operators and top-tier investors. These sessions typically dive into topics such as fundraising strategies, navigating scaling challenges, building resilient startup cultures and adapting to shifting regulation across European markets.

Networking hub for founders and investors

Beyond the stage content, the EU-Startups Summit is designed as a high-intensity networking hub. Structured matchmaking sessions, 1:1 meeting areas and informal side events give founders direct access to VC partners, limited partners and strategic corporate backers. For investors, the event offers a concentrated pipeline of vetted dealflow from across the continent.

Malta’s growing role in the European startup ecosystem

Malta’s positioning as host underscores its ambition to strengthen its role in the European innovation landscape. With its English-speaking environment, EU membership and growing support for digital businesses, the island aims to attract more founders, remote teams and technology investors.

By bringing together 2,500 participants in one place, the 2026 edition of the EU-Startups Summit is poised to act as a barometer for the health of Europe’s startup ecosystem and a launchpad for the region’s next standout companies.
