Earth Blox climate analytics platform visualizing global satellite data over financial assets

Earth Blox Raises €6.9M to Link Climate and Finance

Earth Blox Secures €6.9 Million to Scale Climate Intelligence

Edinburgh-based startup Earth Blox has raised €6.9 million in fresh funding to accelerate the development of its climate intelligence platform, which helps financial institutions and corporates link climate risk directly to financial performance. The capital will be used to expand product capabilities, deepen data coverage, and grow the company’s presence across Europe and global financial hubs.

Turning Satellite Data Into Decision-Ready Climate Insights

Earth Blox specializes in transforming complex satellite imagery and geospatial data into actionable analytics for banks, insurers, asset managers, and large enterprises. Its no-code platform allows non-technical teams to assess physical climate risk, monitor deforestation, and track nature-related impacts across global portfolios.

By quantifying climate exposure at asset and portfolio level, the platform supports regulatory-aligned reporting frameworks such as TCFD, TNFD, and evolving ESG disclosure rules. This enables financial institutions to integrate climate metrics into credit decisions, underwriting, and investment strategies, rather than treating sustainability as a separate reporting exercise.

Bridging Climate Accountability and Capital Markets

Investors are increasingly demanding transparent, data-backed evidence of how environmental risks translate into balance-sheet impact. Earth Blox aims to fill this gap by offering standardized, auditable climate indicators that can be embedded into mainstream risk models and valuation frameworks.

The funding round underscores growing appetite for tools that connect climate resilience with long-term financial returns. As regulators tighten disclosure rules and climate-related losses mount, demand for high-resolution, near real-time data on assets—ranging from agricultural land to infrastructure and supply chains—is expected to surge.

Scaling Across Europe and Beyond

With this new capital, Earth Blox plans to expand its commercial and technical teams, enhance its AI-driven analytics, and forge partnerships with major financial institutions and climate data providers. The company’s Edinburgh base positions it within a growing UK and European ecosystem focused on climate tech and fintech convergence.

By making advanced Earth observation data accessible to risk managers, sustainability officers, and investment teams, Earth Blox is positioning itself as a critical bridge between the science of climate change and the realities of modern capital markets.
