Contents raises €5.9M to scale AI workflow platform from Doha

Contents expands AI workflow platform with fresh funding

Milan-based Contents, a work execution platform that connects AI agents, enterprise knowledge and approval workflows, has raised a €5.9 million Series B extension and selected Doha as its new operational hub for the Middle East.

The latest round, equivalent to around $7 million, was led by Qatar Development Bank (QDB), underscoring Qatar’s growing push into strategic AI infrastructure. Existing investor Alkemia Capital, which led the original Series B, also participated. The deal brings Contents’ total funding to approximately €21 million ($25 million).

From AI generation to AI execution

CEO and Founder Massimiliano Squillace positions the company at the heart of a shift in enterprise artificial intelligence. “Most AI companies sell generation. We sell execution. The next phase of enterprise AI is not about models – it’s about who controls the workflow layer between intelligence and business outcomes. That’s the layer we are defining,” he said.

The platform is designed to orchestrate multiple AI agents, connect them to an organisation’s internal knowledge base and embed them into structured approval workflows. This enables global brands to standardise content production, automate repetitive tasks and maintain compliance across markets while retaining human oversight.

Doha hub targets Middle East growth

By establishing Doha as its regional base, Contents aims to serve a growing demand for enterprise-grade AI workflow automation across the Gulf and wider Middle East. The new hub is expected to support sales, customer success and solution engineering for sectors such as media, retail, financial services and government-linked entities.

The move aligns with broader regional strategies to invest in digital transformation, cloud computing and applied AI technologies. With fresh capital and a foothold in Qatar, Contents is positioning itself as a key player in the emerging market for orchestrated, agent-based AI systems that sit between raw models and measurable business outcomes.
