Constructor Capital launches €92.8M debut fund
Swiss-based venture capital firm Constructor Capital has closed its debut fund at €92.8 million, targeting early-stage DeepTech, software and EdTech startups. The new vehicle positions the firm as a specialist backer of technically ambitious founders building scalable, research-driven products.
The fund will focus primarily on European companies, while remaining open to select global opportunities that align with its thesis. By concentrating on sectors where strong intellectual property and defensible technology are critical, Constructor Capital aims to bridge the gap between academic innovation and commercial success.
Focus on DeepTech, software and EdTech
The firm plans to invest in areas such as advanced AI algorithms, data infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise software platforms, alongside next-generation EdTech solutions for higher education, lifelong learning and workforce upskilling.
According to the fund’s strategy, ticket sizes will typically back early-stage rounds, giving founders both capital and strategic support. Constructor Capital intends to leverage its network of technologists, researchers and industry operators to help portfolio companies refine product-market fit, build go-to-market engines and scale internationally.
Strengthening Europe’s innovation pipeline
Europe’s DeepTech ecosystem has matured rapidly, but many research-heavy startups still struggle to access patient, specialist capital. The new Constructor Capital fund is designed to address that funding gap by supporting companies emerging from universities, research institutes and technical founders spinning out of established technology firms.
The firm highlights a long-term approach: prioritising robust unit economics, defensible intellectual property and clear paths to global markets. In addition to capital, Constructor Capital plans to provide hands-on guidance in areas such as regulatory strategy, enterprise sales and partnerships with large corporates and educational institutions.
With this €92.8 million debut fund, Constructor Capital joins a growing cohort of European investors dedicated to building globally competitive companies at the intersection of DeepTech, software and education technology.
