Connectome raises €1.7 million pre-seed for NeuroTech push

Zurich and London-based NeuroTech startup Connectome has secured a pre-seed financing round of approximately €1.7 million ($2 million), giving fresh momentum to its ambition of transforming how humans interact with machines through advanced brain–computer technologies.

Building the next generation of brain–computer interfaces

Connectome is developing cutting-edge brain–computer interface (BCI) solutions designed to decode neural activity with higher precision and lower latency than current systems. By combining sophisticated neuroscience with state-of-the-art AI algorithms, the startup aims to create tools that can interpret complex brain signals in real time.

The company’s technology is expected to support applications ranging from medical rehabilitation and treatment of neurological disorders to enhanced human–machine interaction in consumer and industrial settings. Its platform is being designed to integrate with existing clinical workflows and emerging digital health ecosystems, making it attractive to hospitals, research institutions and device manufacturers.

Use of funds and strategic roadmap

The new capital will be used to expand Connectome’s engineering and neuroscience teams, accelerate product development and deepen collaborations with academic and clinical partners in Europe. A significant portion of the funding will support regulatory preparation, data validation and early pilot deployments.

By investing in scalable software infrastructure and secure data processing pipelines, the startup plans to build a platform capable of handling large volumes of neural data while meeting stringent privacy and compliance requirements. This foundation is seen as critical for future commercialization and potential expansion into international markets.

Rising momentum in European NeuroTech

The funding round underscores growing investor interest in European NeuroTech and deep tech ventures that sit at the intersection of AI, biomedical engineering and clinical research. With hubs in Zurich and London, Connectome is well positioned to tap into leading universities, hospitals and talent pools that are driving innovation in brain science.

As demand increases for technologies that can restore lost function, augment human capabilities and improve quality of life, Connectome’s latest raise signals confidence that sophisticated brain–computer interfaces are moving closer to real-world adoption.
