Another Earth secures €3.5M to advance AI for the planet

Vienna-based startup Another Earth has raised €3.5 million to scale its AI-powered synthetic data engine for Earth Observation, aiming to deliver faster and more accurate insights into deforestation, biodiversity loss and climate impact across Brazil and Sub-Saharan Africa.

AI-powered synthetic data for hard-to-see changes

Another Earth develops an advanced platform that uses AI algorithms to generate high-quality synthetic data from satellite imagery. This approach helps fill gaps where traditional remote sensing data is sparse, cloud-obscured or too costly to obtain at the required frequency and resolution.

By augmenting real satellite feeds with simulated scenarios, the startup enables governments, NGOs and private companies to detect land-use changes earlier, model potential future risks and monitor the effectiveness of conservation and climate policies in near real time.

Focus on Brazil and Sub-Saharan Africa

The new funding will be used to deepen coverage in Brazil and Sub-Saharan Africa, two regions that are critical to global climate resilience yet notoriously difficult to monitor consistently. Expanding the synthetic data engine in these areas is expected to support more accurate tracking of illegal logging, habitat fragmentation and climate-stress hotspots.

Another Earth plans to invest in product development, hiring AI specialists and expanding partnerships with local research institutes, conservation groups and public agencies. By combining global satellite data with on-the-ground expertise, the company aims to deliver actionable intelligence that can guide policy decisions and sustainable investment.

Strengthening climate-tech infrastructure

The funding round underscores growing investor interest in climate-tech tools that move beyond carbon accounting to deliver granular, location-specific insights. Another Earth positions its platform as a critical layer of digital infrastructure for organizations seeking to measure, report and verify environmental impact with higher accuracy and lower operational cost.
