Trener Robotics closes €26 million growth round
Norway and US-based robotics scale-up Trener Robotics has raised €26 million to accelerate the rollout of its industrial AI automation solutions. The fresh capital will be used to expand commercial operations across Europe and North America and to advance the company’s core robotics software and hardware platform.
Positioned at the intersection of advanced robotics and industrial AI, Trener Robotics develops systems that allow factories and logistics hubs to automate complex, repetitive tasks with minimal human intervention. Its technology is aimed at manufacturers seeking to boost productivity while addressing persistent labour shortages on the factory floor.
Industrial AI to tackle labour gaps and efficiency demands
The company’s platform combines computer vision, adaptive motion planning and cloud-based AI algorithms to enable robots to operate safely alongside human workers. By learning from real-time production data, the system can optimise workflows, reduce downtime and continuously refine how robots perform tasks such as assembly, material handling and quality inspection.
With demand for industrial automation rising in sectors including automotive, electronics and logistics, investors see a substantial addressable market. The new funding will support additional deployments with large enterprise clients, as well as pilot projects with mid-sized manufacturers that are beginning their digital transformation journeys.
Expansion plans across Europe and North America
Headquartered between Norway and the United States, Trener Robotics plans to scale its sales, engineering and customer success teams in both regions. The company is also investing in local partnerships with systems integrators and industrial equipment providers to accelerate integration into existing production lines.
Industry analysts note that vendors capable of delivering flexible, software-driven automation are well positioned as factories move away from rigid, single-purpose machines. With this €26 million round, Trener Robotics aims to strengthen its position as a key player in the next wave of intelligent industrial robotics.
