Solaya secures $2M to power phone‑to‑3D AI for LVMH

Solaya lands fresh funding for phone‑to‑3D AI engine

Solaya, an emerging player in 3D visualization technology, has raised $2 million in funding from New York–based venture studio Betaworks to scale its phone‑to‑3D AI platform. The technology is already being used by luxury conglomerate LVMH, underscoring its potential in high‑end retail and digital product experiences.

Turning smartphone videos into high‑fidelity 3D assets

The core of Solaya‘s product is an AI‑powered engine that converts simple smartphone video or photos into detailed, production‑ready 3D models. By automating what has traditionally been a slow and expensive process handled by specialist 3D artists, the startup aims to make high‑quality 3D content creation accessible to brands of all sizes.

Using a combination of computer vision, neural rendering, and proprietary AI algorithms, the platform reconstructs geometry, textures, and lighting from everyday phone captures. These 3D assets can then be deployed across e‑commerce product pages, virtual try‑on tools, AR and VR experiences, and digital marketing campaigns.

LVMH deployment signals luxury market demand

Adoption by LVMH provides a strong proof point for Solaya‘s technology. Luxury brands increasingly rely on immersive digital experiences to maintain premium positioning while reaching global online audiences. High‑fidelity 3D product visualization helps reduce returns, increase customer engagement, and support new formats such as virtual boutiques and metaverse‑style showrooms.

By cutting the cost and lead time for 3D asset creation, Solaya offers large portfolios of brands and SKUs a scalable way to keep digital catalogs visually rich and up to date.

Betaworks backs next wave of creative AI tools

The investment from Betaworks aligns with the firm’s focus on early‑stage startups at the intersection of AI, creativity, and user‑generated content. With the new capital, Solaya plans to expand its engineering team, refine its AI models, and build integrations with leading e‑commerce and 3D workflow platforms.

As retailers, game studios, and design‑driven brands accelerate their shift to interactive and spatial media, demand for fast, accurate phone‑to‑3D pipelines is expected to rise. Solaya is positioning itself as a foundational infrastructure provider for that transition, turning everyday smartphones into powerful 3D capture devices.
