Estonian startup Handhold secures €3M for AI sales agents

Estonian startup Handhold has raised a €3 million funding round to scale its AI agent-powered sales platform, convincing high-profile backers including Bolt‘s chief executive and Wise‘s chief technology officer with a tightly focused pitch on automated revenue generation.

Backing from Bolt and Wise leadership

The round, which includes participation from Bolt‘s CEO and Wise‘s CTO, underscores growing investor conviction that AI agents can transform how software companies acquire and manage customers. Their involvement gives Handhold not only capital but also access to operators who have scaled global consumer and fintech platforms from the Baltics.

AI agents targeting the sales workflow

Handhold is building autonomous AI agents designed to handle the repetitive and data-heavy elements of modern B2B sales. The platform aims to automate prospect research, outreach sequencing, qualification and follow-up, allowing human teams to focus on negotiation and relationship-building.

By integrating with existing CRM systems and sales tools, the startup positions its product as an overlay rather than a replacement, promising measurable gains in sales efficiency, higher conversion rates and more predictable pipeline generation. The pitch deck that secured the €3 million round reportedly highlighted clear unit economics, early customer traction and a roadmap for scaling across multiple verticals.

Why the pitch resonated with investors

According to people familiar with the raise, Handhold‘s founders leaned heavily on their background in building and selling SaaS products, presenting a strong founder–market fit. The deck framed the product as an answer to rising customer acquisition costs and the pressure on sales teams to do more with fewer resources.

By quantifying the time saved per sales representative and translating that into incremental annual recurring revenue, the company showed a direct link between its AI automation and bottom-line impact. That clarity, combined with a disciplined go-to-market plan and the growing maturity of AI algorithms for language and workflow automation, helped persuade seasoned operators from Bolt and Wise to participate in the round.

Positioning in the global AI sales landscape

The fresh capital will be used to deepen product development, expand engineering and sales teams, and accelerate international outreach. With global interest in AI-powered sales tools intensifying, Handhold is positioning itself as a Baltic-born contender in a market where incumbents and new entrants alike are racing to build reliable, compliant and scalable AI agents for revenue teams.
