Narwhal Labs closes £20M growth round

Narwhal Labs, a UK-based technology company, has secured £20 million in fresh funding from a group of domestic investors to accelerate the rollout of its flagship product, the DeepBlue OS autonomous communications platform. The round includes participation from CFC Underwriting director Jonathan Swann, underscoring growing institutional confidence in advanced communications infrastructure.

DeepBlue OS: an autonomous communications platform

The company’s core product, DeepBlue OS, is described as an autonomous communications platform designed to manage complex, high-volume data flows with minimal human intervention. By combining AI algorithms, automated routing and real-time analytics, the system aims to provide more reliable, secure and scalable communications for enterprises operating in regulated and data-intensive sectors.

According to the company, DeepBlue OS can be deployed across cloud and hybrid environments, enabling organisations to standardise their communications stack while improving resilience and compliance. The platform is particularly relevant for industries such as insurance, financial services and cybersecurity, where secure, auditable and low-latency communication is critical.

Strategic backing from UK investors

The participation of Jonathan Swann, a director at specialist insurer CFC Underwriting, signals strong interest from the insurance and risk-management community in next-generation communications tools. Investors view autonomous platforms such as DeepBlue OS as an important response to rising cyber risk, regulatory pressures and the operational demands of always-on digital services.

Scaling product, team and market reach

Narwhal Labs plans to use the £20 million to expand its engineering and product teams, enhance the capabilities of DeepBlue OS and deepen integrations with third-party enterprise systems. Funds will also support international business development, with a focus on customers seeking more resilient, automated communications infrastructure.

By reinforcing its capital base and drawing on the sector expertise of UK investors, Narwhal Labs is positioning DeepBlue OS as a foundational layer for mission-critical communications in an increasingly interconnected and regulated digital economy.
