EU-Startups Summit 2026 heads to Malta

On May 7-8, 2026, the annual EU-Startups Summit will return to sunny Malta, bringing together an estimated 2,300 founders, investors and startup ecosystem leaders from across Europe. The event aims to highlight the region’s most promising early-stage companies, emerging technologies and cross-border collaboration opportunities.

Focus on funding, innovation and media visibility

The summit will feature a packed agenda of keynotes, panel discussions and pitch sessions designed to help startups navigate fundraising, product-market fit and rapid scaling. Leading venture capital firms, angel investors and corporate innovation teams are expected to attend, offering founders direct access to decision-makers shaping Europe’s tech investment landscape.

A key theme of the 2026 edition will be the evolving startup media landscape and how young companies can stand out in an increasingly crowded information environment. Practical PR and communications sessions will guide founders on crafting data-driven narratives, building long-term relationships with journalists and leveraging digital marketing channels to reach customers and partners globally.

Malta as a Mediterranean innovation hub

By hosting the summit in Malta, organizers are underscoring the island nation’s ambition to strengthen its role as a Mediterranean hub for technology and innovation. The location offers convenient access for participants from both Western and Eastern Europe, as well as North Africa and the Middle East, supporting the event’s goal of fostering broader regional connectivity.

Networking and deal-making at scale

Beyond the stage program, the EU-Startups Summit is designed as a high-intensity networking environment. Curated matchmaking sessions, startup showcases and informal side events will encourage founders to meet potential investors, customers and mentors. For investors, the gathering provides a concentrated view of Europe’s next generation of high-growth startups, from AI and fintech to climate tech and deep tech.

With its 2026 edition, the summit is positioning itself as one of Europe’s must-attend events for anyone serious about the future of the continent’s startup and innovation ecosystem.
