Toyo secures €3.6M to build secure AI agents for founders

Toyo raises €3.6M to democratise secure AI agents

UK-based startup Toyo has secured €3.6 million in fresh funding to develop a new generation of secure AI agents designed specifically for non-technical founders and operators. The round will support product development, security infrastructure and go-to-market efforts as the company positions itself at the intersection of no-code tools and advanced automation.

Making powerful AI agents accessible to non-coders

Toyo is building a platform that allows users with no engineering background to design, deploy and manage task-specific AI agents. These agents can connect to everyday business tools, process data, and execute workflows that would traditionally require a software team or complex integrations.

Instead of writing code, founders can define objectives, data sources and constraints through an intuitive interface. The platform then orchestrates multiple AI models and services behind the scenes, turning them into reliable agents that can handle tasks such as customer support triage, lead qualification, internal knowledge search or operations reporting.

Security and control at the core of the platform

A key differentiator for Toyo is its focus on data security and enterprise-grade controls. The startup is building granular permission systems, detailed audit logs and strict data isolation to address the concerns of startups and SMEs that want to leverage AI automation without exposing sensitive information.

The funding will be used to strengthen the platform’s security architecture, expand integrations with popular SaaS tools, and refine monitoring features so teams can see exactly how each agent behaves in production. This level of transparency aims to increase trust in AI-driven workflows, an area where many early adopters still hesitate.

Riding the wave of AI-native startups

As more founders build AI-native products, tools like Toyo promise to compress the time from idea to MVP. By removing the need for in-house engineers in the earliest stages, the company targets solo founders, small teams and non-technical operators who want to ship automated experiences quickly, while maintaining robust security and compliance standards.
