DentalMonitoring raises $100M to scale AI-powered orthodontics

DentalMonitoring closes landmark $100 million funding round

French healthtech scale-up DentalMonitoring has raised $100 million to accelerate the global rollout of its AI-powered remote monitoring platform for orthodontic and dental care. The new capital underscores growing investor confidence in digital health solutions that improve patient outcomes while easing pressure on clinics.

AI-driven remote monitoring for orthodontists

DentalMonitoring has developed a platform that uses advanced computer vision and AI algorithms to analyse images of patients’ teeth captured via a smartphone. The system allows orthodontists and dental professionals to track treatment progress, detect issues early and adjust care plans without requiring frequent in-person visits.

The company’s flagship tools integrate with clear aligners and traditional braces, providing automated alerts on tooth movement, oral hygiene and appliance issues. This approach aims to reduce unnecessary chair time, increase treatment precision and enhance the overall patient experience.

Scaling a global dental technology platform

The fresh funding will be used to expand DentalMonitoring’s footprint in key markets including North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. The company plans to invest heavily in product development, strengthening its AI models, and building deeper integrations with existing dental practice management software.

Industry observers note that the deal is one of the largest recent rounds in the dental technology and teledentistry space, positioning DentalMonitoring as a leading player in remote orthodontic care. As clinics continue to adapt to post-pandemic patient expectations, demand for scalable, data-driven tools that support hybrid care models is rising sharply.

Implications for patients and practitioners

For patients, AI-enabled remote monitoring promises fewer in-office visits, faster interventions when problems arise and more transparent progress tracking. For practitioners, the technology can help optimise schedules, increase capacity and provide richer clinical data across entire treatment cohorts.

With this new $100 million injection, DentalMonitoring is set to further blur the lines between traditional chairside care and always-on, app-based oversight, signaling a broader shift toward AI-first healthcare workflows in dentistry.
